Acne is a common skin condition that affects most people at some point. It causes spots to develop on the skin, usually on the face, back and chest.
Acne is caused when tiny holes in the skin, known as hair follicles, become blocked due to excess sebum- a substance normally produced by the oil glands in the skin to keep the skin moist. Do not wash affected areas of skin more than twice a day.
Clean skin thoroughly using a mild cleanser with salicylic acid
Do not use strong scrubs or soaps
Shampoo your hair frequently
Avoid a sunburn or a sun tan
Completely remove make-up before going to bed.
