How HCL Healthcare supported a global banking and financial services organization to help ensure health and wellbeing of its employees during the peak COVID crisis through innovative and fast track medical services.

Introduction

As the COVID cases in the country peaked during the two waves, organizations faced multiple challenges as health and wellbeing of employees was adversely affected. Forward thinking organizations rose to the challenge with the support of experts like HCL Healthcare who helped manage the concerns around employee health to minimize disruptions to businesses continuity for organizations across sectors. 

HCL Healthcare devised a holistic portfolio of COVID-care services that allowed organizations to choose solutions that could help their business during the pandemic. Services include testing, clinical care, virtual doctor consults, counseling and vaccination for clients’ employees. 

Providing assistance during a sudden surge in COVID cases

HCL Healthcare assisted a global BFSI organization with over 40,000 employees, geographically spread across five metros in India, to provide speedy and effective healthcare services to its workforce with the aim of minimizing the risk of COVID infection. HCL Healthcare’s comprehensive, carefully coordinated and diligently manned 24×7 COVID care helpline for employees helped address queries for testing and screening, ambulance services, doctor consults and home isolation requirements. 

We enabled close to 4000 RT PCR tests, covering 95 percent of testing requirement for the organization. HCL Healthcare also devised innovative solutions like 21 kiosks for drive through RT PCR sampling, set-up within 72 hours across the five metros, to enable convenient testing mechanisms for employees. 

Preemptive measures like clinical assessments to check symptoms at regular intervals and home isolations were recommended for potentially infected individuals. Over 300 appointments with doctors were scheduled within 30 minutes of the requests and quick ambulance services within a window of 120 minutes to reach the requested location were provided. 

Doctors and nursing staff from HCL Healthcare provided clinical guidance to those waiting for reports and post RT-PCR reporting for better clinical management.
