Job Summary: As a Radiologist in HCL Healthcare’s corporate clinic, you will play a crucial role in the diagnosis and treatment of patients through the interpretation of medical images. You will utilize your expertise in radiology to analyse, interpret and report on various imaging studies, including X-rays, Ultrasonography and Mammography. Your primary responsibility will be to provide accurate and timely radiological assessments to aid in the diagnosis and management of patient conditions.
Responsibilities
• Performing and Interpreting diagnostic imaging procedures, including X-rays, Ultrasonography and Mammography, in accordance with established protocols and guidelines.
• Reviewing patient medical histories and coordinating with referring doctors to determine appropriate imaging techniques and protocols.
• Analysing and interpreting medical images to identify abnormalities, diseases and injuries, and provide accurate and comprehensive reports.
• Maintaining accurate records of patient diagnoses and treatments, including use of Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems.
• Communicating results and recommendations to patients and referring doctors.
• Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to discuss and evaluate patient cases, thereby contributing to treatment planning and decision-making processes.
• Ensuring accuracy and quality of radiological images by adhering to technical and safety standards.
• Providing guidance and support to radiology technicians and other staff members involved in imaging procedures.
• Maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to ethical standards in the practice of radiology.
• Participating in quality assurance activities, including image audits, to ensure the highest standards of patient care.
• Adhering to all relevant legal and regulatory requirements, including radiation safety protocols, patient privacy laws, and provisions under the Pre-Conception and Pre-Natal Diagnostic Techniques (PC-PNDT) Act, 1994.
• Participating in continuing medical education and training programmes to keep up with the latest advancements and trends in radiology and medical imaging technology.
Qualification and Experience
• Recognized post-graduate medical degree/diploma in Radiology/Radio-diagnosis (MD/DNB/DMRD or equivalent)
• At least 6 months of post-qualification professional experience of performing and interpreting diagnostic imaging procedures, including X-rays, Ultrasonography and Mammography.
• Current and valid medical license (registration with medical council) to practise as a Radiologist.
• Compliance fulfilment to the provisions under the PC-PNDT Act, 1994 (including the need of name to be entered in the Clinic’s PC-PNDT certificate for using Ultrasonography machine).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make accurate and timely diagnoses.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with patients, their attendants, colleagues and other healthcare professionals.
